Our 2006, 2007 and 2008 youth fly fishing camps were a resounding success, thanks to all of the great kids, parents and volunteers involved.

CAMP OVERVIEW:

Learn all the basics of fly fishing on a stream and lake

Join T. U. members and chaperones for an over-night camping & fishing adventure

SUBJECTS:

Equipment basics, rod, reel, line, accessories, knots, wading and safety equipment

Casting, types of casts, presentation skills, distance and accuracy

Introduction to fly tying and aquatic insects

Trout habitat and water types

River ecology and conservation

Fishing equipment will be provided, or students may bring their own. Food will be provided on camping / overnight trips.
