* YOUTH FLYFISHING CAMPS * * Fly fishing camps are open to all children 10 to 14 years of age with a passion for fishing Our 2011 camp is currently in the planning stages, information will be available here January 2011 Camp overview: Join Trout Unlimited members, teachers, chaperones and other students for an over-night camping & fishing adventure! Equipment basics, rod, reel, line, accessories, knots, wading and safety equipment Casting practice, mechanics of fly casting, presentation skills, line control, distance, accuracy, special techniques Introduction to fly tying, natural & synthetic materials, aquatic entomology, matching the hatch Trout habitat, water quality, river ecology, history and conservation All fishing equipment is provided, or students may bring their own. Food & fly tying materials are also provided. $ 200.00 per child - parent or guardian may attend camp for a $75.00 service fee 2011 CAMP REGISTRATION & VOLUNTEER FORMS AVAILABLE JANUARY 2011 | |
